About Me

I am a middle school string orchestra and concert band director at my local middle school in Colorado. I graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree focused on music composition. I have taught private lessons on various instruments since 2010, and I have been a public school music educator in Colorado since 2014. I have experience teaching K-12. I have taught for many years, hosted honor band events, built a thriving program, directed countless concerts, and commissioned my own compositions to sold-out venues.

Through my Early Ensembles teaching resources and compositions, I strive to bring fun learning experiences to the beginning music student with a clear focus on core fundamental skills, which are learned through performance. In my works, my goal is to combine my compositional background with my many years of experience in music education to provide teachers and students with exciting resources that reinforce fundamental skills, and equip music teachers to survive and thrive in this profession.

I live in Colorado with my wife Jennifer, my one year old daughter, my chihuahua Roo and calico cat Magic. I spend my free time with my family, lots of daddy/daughter time, and I love to sing and play solo gigs on my acoustic guitar.
